Symbiotic STEM is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit. This means:

We are organized and operate specifically for charitable purpose: ie, to inspire, encourage, and support underrepresented middle and high school students interested in STEM through virtual mentoring.
No part of our profits are used to benefit private interests, our team, etc.
All of your donation (after a small fee by Paypal) goes to maintaing our organization and furthering our mission. It will be used to:
- Pay for this website
- Cover any costs of virtual mentoring, such as paying for faster connection speeds on platforms such as gather.town
- Provide additional resources for mentees, such as books or access to articles.
If you would like your donation to go to a specific purpose or wish to donate materials, please contact us

Our program is built on flexibility- signing up once allows you to get involved anytime that works for you.

Tag and mention us in your posts about STEM diversity, DEI, mentoring, and more!
Share our information and/or fliers with schools and teachers! Most of our new partnerships come from mentors connecting us with their own schools or communities.

Ask your STEM field colleagues to sign up as mentors- it's an incredibly rewarding and simple way to make a difference in the lives of future scientists, engineers, and medical professionals!
We also are happy to work with community organizations looking for STEM volunteers for events. Contact us for more info!
